Hi, I’m Sarah.
Coach, Mentor and Creator of VA Foundations, Group program for VAs & Online Service Providers.
Based in Dublin, I’m also a serial small business owner, neurodivergent, loving mum of 2, podcast fanatic and tea connoisseur.
My personal journey into small business owner life wasn’t straight forward. But who’s is, right?
I seemingly had it all:
I was living in Sydney, Australia ✔
Secured a well-paid job as an investment banker ✔
Degrees in Social Science & Social Work and a post-grad Diploma in Business Studies and HR ✔
A promising career ✔
But what seemed perfect to some, left me hanging dry.
I realised I wanted to impact lives, not someone’s bottom line.
So I started over, studied Social Work and spent a good 10 years making a genuine difference.
I craved genuine connections with a community of like-minded Irish women in Australia. And I discovered the vast opportunities of the online world.
As an action-taker, I took matters into my own hands and started my own engaged online community for Irish Women Abroad. And within only 3 months I grew it to 3,000 followers on Instagram and 5,000 group members on Facebook.
This same online community started to underpin an online business directory, locally run networking events and my newly-launched Social Media VA career.
It was my way to make a difference on a grand scale. But that success didn’t come without its challenges.
As a neurodivergent business owner and mum of 2, I had to learn to work smarter not harder.
And It took the support of the RIGHT coaches and mentors who believed in the value of flexibility and freedom rather than your bottom line as the ONLY measure of success.
Now back in Ireland, Socials by Sarah is where I share the strategies that work for me, my family and my business with aspiring and established VAs & OSPs like you.
